From the book-signing info page:

The event is open to the public and takes place in Ballroom B and the Gallery of the Doubletree by Hilton at 201 MacArthur Blvd, Santa Ana, CA 92707. Our authors cover all forms of publishing from traditional New York Houses to small independent presses, e-publishing houses and of course independent publishing. You’ll find books in all genres Contemporary, Erotica, Historical, Inspirational, Paranormal, Romantic Suspense, Young Adult and mash-ups that combine several genres in one novel.

Print books will be sold by our wonderful book sellers Barnes & Noble. Our independent and e-published authors will be bringing their own materials for sale and more importantly, the area has free wi-fi available. Bring your e-readers, smart phones and tablets and buy your favorite authors’ books online as you talk to them!

Additionally, as part of the book signing, we’re offering opportunity drawings for a Nook and a Kindle. There will be a little work involved like talking to your favorite authors, but isn’t that why you’ll be there? Tell your family, tell your friends and come on down to meet all of our fabulous authors.

  1. Go to other book signings. Observe the authors and how they interact with the public. Check out their promotional stuff. How’d you find out about the signing? If it was a newspaper ad, consider investing in one. If it was through the bookstore, think about doing your next signing through that chain (or through the independent). Smile and look over their book. If it’s even remotely interesting, buy it (if it’s not your cup of tea, autographed books make swell presents). Introduce yourself as a fellow author and trade marketing tips. Everything you see and hear at a book signing can be directly applied (or firmly crossed off your list of Things Never To Do At My Own Signing) to your book signing.
